Scope of Works
Project Overview:
WSW was instructed to undertake an extensive refurbishment project at The Old Forge, a Grade II listed building in Suffolk. The project involved a complete internal and external refurbishment, including flooring, central heating, and redecoration. WSW was appointed for these reinstatement works to the ground floor following groundwater flooding.
Client Requirements:
The Old Forge is a residential property within a quiet residential area. The client wanted to maintain peace and privacy during the work, ensuring all deliveries and maintenance were carried out with minimal disruption and inconvenience.
Scope of Works:
- Redecoration throughout - internal & external
- Joinery repairs or replacements to doors
- Removal and replacement of kitchen units
- New garage base units and worktops
- Strip out and replacement of skirting boards
- Removal of flooring and replacement, including concrete and carpet
- Removal of fireplaces
- Steam clean floor in lobby & bathrooms
- Timber repairs
- Oil heating installation
- External repairs, e.g. drainage, paving
Results and Outcome:
The project was completed to a very high standard. The team minimised disruption to local residents and preserved the historic nature of the property.
